Hunter Blair joined ThinkTennessee as Policy and Research Director in 2020. As Policy and Research Director, he leads ThinkTennessee’s economic research in support of working families.
Previously, Hunter worked at the Economic Policy Institute (EPI), where he provided research and policy analysis relevant to federal tax and budget policies and supported EPI’s state-level Economic Analysis and Research Network (EARN) team on their EARN in the South project. His research and analyses have appeared in numerous media outlets such as American Public Media’s Marketplace, The Atlantic, Business Insider, and Forbes.
Hunter is passionate about ensuring the Tennessee economy is thriving for working Tennesseans and their families.
Hunter earned a Bachelor of Arts in Math and Economics from New York University and a Master’s in Economics from Cornell University. A native of Middle Georgia, Hunter and his family are enjoying being back in the South.
