Allison WalkerStrategy and Development Director

    Allison Walker joined ThinkTennessee as Strategy and Development Director in November 2025. In this role, she oversees fundraising and internal operations and supports organizational strategic planning.

    Prior to ThinkTennessee, Allison worked as the Associate Director of Institutional Partnerships at City Harvest, New York City’s largest food rescue organization. She honed strategic leadership and fundraising skills over more than seven years working with a range of institutional and government funders, from small family foundations to large national organizations. Before focusing on development, Allison had a career working in nonprofit media and documentary film in Chicago, Washington, D.C., and New York City.

    Allison earned a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV/Film and International Relations with honors from Northwestern University and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, specializing in Human Rights and Media Advocacy. A Nashville native, Allison grew up in a civically engaged household. She and her husband spend their time with their three daughters and local family, while  squeezing in as much time as they can visiting extended family.
