Alex Brown joined ThinkTennessee in July 2023. In her role as Policy Manager, she provides research and analysis for the organization’s Strengthening Democracy and Criminal Justice portfolios and manages the Law Clerk & Research Assistant Programs.

Alex received her law degree from Belmont University College of Law in Nashville, where she was an editor of the Belmont Law Review and was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Environmental Law and the Pro Bono Service Award for free legal services. She found her love of public policy serving as a law clerk for ThinkTennessee and the Southern Environmental Law Center (SELC). She previously earned her Bachelor’s in Political Science from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tennessee.

Alex lives in South Nashville with her husband and cat, and you can find her either renovating her fixer upper, at a coffee shop, or traveling.
